We are living in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. The Father planned out our salvation. Jesus worked out our salvation and the Spirit carries out our salvation. The Spirit’s work is two-fold in the believer’s life. First, He baptizes us into the Body of Christ and imparts to us the divine nature.  Second, is the Baptism of the Spirit that is evidence by power and spiritual gifts.  Tongues being the initial evidence.
