Paul knew the importance of receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues after becoming a follower of Christ. Twenty years after Pentecost, he asked a question that we all must answer for ourselves today – “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” On this Memorial Day, Pentecost Sunday, we remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms, and we remember it took the death of our Lord to open Heaven’s doors allowing the Holy Spirit to come and save us and fill us with power from on High.
