The Anointing – September 27, 2023 | Christian Assembly Church

Today’s service: God’s work is a supernatural work that requires supernatural power. Without it, we’d be like Samson with no hair. Jesus was anointed with Holy Ghost power (LK 4:18); Paul was also (2 COR. 1:21-22); and so were the prophets, priests, and kings. The apostles were instructed to preach the Gospel, but not before being anointed with power from on high (ACTS 1:8). If all these needed the anointing to be effective in accomplishing God’s work on earth, what about us? If we’ve been commissioned to continue the works of Jesus, then we, too, need power from on high to do so! Zerubbabel lost sight of it (ZECH. 4:6).
