Jesus gave His life for us to make us His new creations. We are His workmanship. To say about ourselves anything less than what He says about us is to criticize and devalue His work. This is why we walk by faith and not by sight. We may not feel like what the Word says about us is true, but our feelings aren’t truth. God’s Word is truth, and He wants us to exalt His truth above our feelings. The Spirit needs us to give Him something to work with. That something is our confessing the Word over our lives.
