Jesus made important statements about hearing but it’s not the hearer that overcomes. It’s the doer, or the one who hears, accepts and acts upon what he hears. To become doers of the word we must keep God’s word in our mouth and meditate it day and night until it strengthens our spirit and builds faith into it. God hears what we say even about ourselves and does to us what He hears us say!
